Rodrigo's splendid debut in Pride!!!
Is he a Gracie? That's my first impression when Rodrigo marched in super high spirit toward the ring with his favorite theme song "Dengeki-Sentai Changeman". He's commented that all his stress melted away and he felt so relaxed when this song started. He must be a new generation star of the Gracie family!! His techniques are outstandingly skilled and sophisticated especially the way he punches the opponent (hard and sharp!) and attacks with his knees while grappling. He seems to like taking in new methods but never forget to make the most of his inherited Gracie's basic fighting methods as well.
At the press conference that took place before the match, Rodrigo states "I'll fight, not for the award I might get, but for my family". He even shows respect for his opponents such as Sakuraba.
I'd like to give big support to his future match and I'm sure he'll be the key person to lead their family to the glorious victory once again.
